Project Self-Sufficiency rewarded for poverty fight
Loveland Reporter-Herald
LARIMER COUNTY — Because of its success in moving single parents out of poverty, Project Self-Sufficiency has been awarded $50,000 from the United Way of Larimer County’s Bridging the Gap Fund.
The fund is part of the local United Way’s Pathways Past Poverty initiative, which was created to address the increasing poverty trend in Larimer County.
Project Self-Sufficiency — a nonprofit that helps low-income single parents achieve financial independence — was selected for the award as a way to continue moving people from poverty.
