PS-S Eligibility Criteria

Program Criteria
The following guidelines represent the criteria used by Project Self-Sufficiency in order to determine eligibility for participation in PS-S programs. If you have any questions, please contact Project Self-Sufficiency at (970) 635-5912.

  1. You must be a single parent residing in Larimer County

We have found it necessary to define single parent status beyond
a person's marital status. Cohabitation with an adult partner changes single parent status in terms of program eligibility. Cohabitation is defined as "intimate partners who live together".

In order to be eligible for PS-S, you must also reside in Larimer County.

  2. You must be a low-income household

Project Self-Sufficiency uses 185% of the poverty level to
determine program eligibility. The following income guidelines are used:

    Family Size Including Parent
    Annual Income
    Single parent with 1 child
    $25,326
    Single parent with 2 children
    $31,764
    Single parent with 3 children
    $38,202
    Single parent with 4 children
    $44,640
    Single parent with 5 children
    $51,078

  3. You must have at least one child age thirteen or younger living with you at least half of the time.

  4. You must demonstrate a need for services.

  5. You must show a willingness to cooperate with an advisor. This means working towards your goals and meeting regularly with your advisor.
