
Mary Carraher, M.S.W., Executive Director
Mary has been the Executive Director of PS-S since 1989. She has 30 years
of social work experience including five years as the Executive Director of ACCESS
Housing in Adams County. Mary holds a Master’s Degree in Social
Work from the University of Denver with an emphasis in social planning
and administration.
Kathy Miner, Assistant Director
Kathy moved from the Board of Directors to the role of Assistant Director of PS-S in October of 2008. Kathy spent 25 years as a product manager at Hewlett Packard and has run her own market research business. Kathy is responsible for donor relations, grant-writing and applying her systems expertise and business best practices to the organization.
Nicole Gawronski, B.A., PS-S Advisor (Loveland)
Nicole has coordinated the Willow Place program in Loveland since 1992. She
has been employed 24 to 30 hours per week with PS-S and has previous
counseling experience with Alternatives to Violence and the Women’s
Center of Larimer County. Nicole was a volunteer PS-S advisor while employed
in both of these positions. She holds a BA degree in Social Work from
CSU (1990).
Fran Richburg, M. Ed., PS-S Advisor (Fort
Collins)
Fran has been assisting PS-S families as a full-time advisor since October, 1995. She has previous career counseling and coordinating experience with the Women’s Center of Larimer County, Aims Community College, Colorado State University, and the Lives in Transition Displaced Homemaker Program in Minnesota. Fran holds a M.Ed. degree in Counseling and Career Development from CSU, and a B.A. in History from UCSB.
Michele Scheetz, M.Ed., LPC, PS-S Advisor (Fort Collins)
Michele Scheetz has been a PS-S Advisor since January of 1998. Her work
experience includes employment as a research assistant at CSU, counselor
and coordinator for Planned Parenthood, and youth counselor for Urban
Peak.
Michele completed her Masters of Education in Community Counseling
at CSU in 1998 and earned her B.A. in Sociology in 1991. Michele is
currently part-time following earlier full-time employment with the organization.
Maggie Murray, M.A., PS-S Advisor (Fort Collins)
Maggie has been employed part-time with PS-S since December of 2000.
She has seven years of experience with the CSU Center for Community
Participation in a variety of roles, including Transition Specialist,
Project Coordinator, and Lead Employment Consultant.
Maggie also has
five years of teaching experience at a variety of levels. She completed
her M.A. in Education at the University of Northern Colorado and a
B.A. in Sociology.
Stephanie Slayton, M.S.W., PS-S Advisor ( Loveland)
Stephanie joined PS-S in 2007 as a full-time advisor in Loveland. She is a recent graduate of the Colorado State University Master of Social Work program and has been with PS-S as an intern since September, 2006.
Stephanie earned a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education at East Carolina University, graduating Summa Cum Laude and Student of the Year. Stephanie’s work history includes foster care coordination and teaching. She also has background as a research assistant and program evaluator for C.S.U.
Beth Rosen, PS-S Advisor (Loveland)
Beth joined PS-S in 2008 as a part-time advisor in Loveland. Her background includes housing counseling and education, case management services, program management, and leadership on nonprofit boards. Her past work experience also includes writing grant proposals, and setting up outcomes measurement procedures. Beth was a volunteer PS-S advisor in earlier years. She is a graduate of Colorado State University with a Bachelors degree in Human Development and Family Studies.
Beth Allen, PS-S Advisor (Loveland)
Beth began her role of PS-S advisor in 2009. She is a graduate of the PS-S program and completed her Bachelor of Social Work degree while enrolled in PS-S. Beth has had a number of internship experiences and held a temporary position with Larimer County during a maternity leave.
Susan Dominica, M.A., Special Projects Coordinator
Susan has been employed 30 to 35 hours per week with PS-S since September,
1998. Susan coordinates the car donation and car repair programs, assists
with other special projects, and maintains data base information for
outcomes measurement and donor contributions.
Susan worked for GIS World
as the Human Resource and Office Manager. Susan holds a M.A. degree in
Social Science from the University of Northern Colorado and a B.A. in
Sociology.
Connie DeMercurio, Special Projects Coordinator
Connie began as a volunteer for PS-S in 2001 and joined the staff in 2003. Her duties include publishing the quarterly newsletter, overseeing the Boundless Children’s Fund and the “Cool Kids" back-to-school clothing program, and coordinating many of the holiday activities for our families. Connie also assists with a variety of administrative and fundraising duties.
Mariah Kelley, Administrative Assistant
Mariah joined the organization in 2008 and works full-time at the Loveland office. She came to PS-S with over 8 years experience in administrative and executive support primarily in the corporate financial industry. Her many duties include front office and volunteer management, and varied clerical functions such as accounting, data management and reporting. Mariah is typically the initial point-of-contact for the organization; greeting new applicants and answering phone inquiries. She also directly assists all staff members with day-to-day operations and technology-based projects.
